2018 Toyota Highlander vs 2018 Ford Escape in Sacramento, CA

2018 Toyota Highlander vs 2018 Ford Escape in Sacramento, CA

2018 Toyota Highlander with optional features.

There are so many SUVs out there, but we at Maita Automotive Group want to make your life a bit easier by showing you why the 2018 Toyota Highlander gives you more value than the 2018 Ford Escape. We’ll only showcase some of the areas in which this Toyota outperforms the Escape, so make sure you come take the Highlander for a test drive at our dealership. Drive past the American River and you’ll be here soon, but feel free to write to us in the contact form below before you leave.

Performance

Just from a quick glance, it’s clear that the 2018 Toyota Highlander is much more powerful than the 2018 Ford Escape. The standard Highlander comes with a 2.7L 4-cylinder DOHC engine that can push out 185 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. This outshines the Escape’s 2.5L Duratec engine’s 168 horsepower and 170 lb.-ft. of torque. This is just the base level – the top-of-the-line Highlander can easily outperform the best 2018 Escape trim as well. The former comes with a 3.5L V6 DOHC engine that can churn out 295 horsepower and 263 lb.-ft. of torque, while the latter can only muster 245 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2018 Escape only comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission, but you can upgrade to an 8-speed electronically-controlled automatic transmission in the Highlander.

Interior

The 2018 Toyota Highlander continues this trend of dominance with more comprehensive and luxurious interior features when compared to the 2018 Ford Escape. For instance, if you upgrade to the best climate system in both SUVs, you’ll have a three-zone automatic climate system with an air filter in the Highlander but only a dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control system in the Escape. The Highlander’s entertainment features take the prize by far over the 2018 Ford Escape, since you’ll have the Entune™ Premium Audio with integrated Navigation1 and the Entune® App Suite1. An upgraded Escape only packs six speakers, but you can upgrade to the sophisticated JBL® audio system in the Highlander. You can enhance you Highlander to have a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with a memory function, and the Escape only manages to make it to a 10-way driver’s seat without a memory function.

Safety

Toyota has far more sophisticated safety technology than Ford, and it really shows when you compare these two SUVs. The 2018 Highlander comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense™ P2 package that includes things like a Pre-Collision System3 with Pedestrian Detection4, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist5, and Dynamic Radar Cruise ControlSUP6. Even the top Escape trim offers you hardly anything like this!

After taking a closer look at the 2018 Toyota Highlander vs 2018 Ford Escape in Sacramento, CA, we think it’s clear who the winner is. Come give the Highlander a test drive at Maita Automotive Group, and ask our staff any questions while you’re at it. Hope to see you soon!

Brian Butcher that works here is the best! He seriously helped me out figuring out what was needed, and also went beyond that (i was having a problem with the work done at Pep Boys off folsom blvd) let me know some Important information about parts that were missing on my cat. From Pep Boys! And the people/person that worked on my car did an exceptional job! I feel SO much better after getting it done here! This is the spot to take your car if you want it done right! I found out the hard way, but let's just say i was paid in full for the huge mess Pep Boys did! Oh, and I personally will NEVER go to Pep Boys. But Thank you so much Toyota for Everything! You all rock!

The sraff was wonderful....not pushy or annoying like some dealerships. Knowledgeable sales people...I may be buying a car from them but I am not sure since I am still doing research. I have had two Toyota vehicles in the past one was totalled and the other 1998 is still running great for my son who bought it from me.
